And....

If it doesn't take a rocket scientist to prove which filter is best, then why did a retired ROCKET SCIENTIST prove it for you? Hydrazine, aka Tony, aka Motordyne, aka the rocket scientist said OEM is best for longevity and airflow.

The spray oil really just clogs up the MAF and the TB. If you like the K&N hell yeah go with it. I know which I will always go with.

There are many aftermarket paper filters and oil intake filters alike. It's really driver preference.
He hasn't proven anything to me, and I am not even worried about gains, but since you mentioned it, I'll ask you this, what is the only difference between the z and g stock setup? Answer: intake tube. If gains aren't proven then tell me why the G is rated at 282hp from the factory and the Z is Rated at 287hp...? (03-04). Furthermore, the G tube doesn't have a diffuser it has a turbulence chamber. It creates turbulent air so that less of it gets to the tb. Less air in = less air out = quieter exhaust for your discerning luxury car buyer who want a quiet smooth ride.

Further still there are many more benefits to having an intake and exhaust such as cooler under hood temperatures due toe more efficiently getting the hit air out. Cooler under hood temps result in linger lasting plastic and rubber parts that be all curse when they fail.

Even tho infiniti made the more luxurious G have an exhaust much louder and more noticeable than z exhausts lol. But at the end of the day the CAI is more for a sound than real power gains! I love my K&N hiss. I consider it my imaginary turbo spooling up.

Whether the G ended up being louder or not is irrelevant. The G tube baffle is there to quiet the exhaust. Does it not get louder when you put the Z tube on?

You know you can't measure that via the naked eye? Why don't you tell me the micron level that starts to have a problem?
