uprev maf gt

Will running the uprev gt maf on a NA car cause problems like: being too rich, cause shift point issues with the 5AT. I just had my vortech installed, however I took out the injectors and sc belt until I get a custom osiris tune. I left the uprev maf and I've been experiencing idle problems, and shift issues (hesitation).

Does anyone know or have any experience regarding running the uprev maf on a "NA" car? Will using the uprev maf over the stock maf cause issues with my transmission?

I'm fairly certain tuning is required for the car to run properly with the Uprev MAF. I would recommend throwing the stock one in for now.

Do you think that could be the issue with my transmission not shifting properly? Does the MAF even have an effect on the TCM?

I'm not a tuner so I can't go in-depth with it. You could PM member Seymore4, he should be able to give you an exact answer.

I don't believe I ever had an issue with the Uprev MAF on my car but when my tune/ECU wouldn't recognize an aftermarket TB I had issues with the idle and tranny shifts. I'm assuming it was the TB since I have never had issues with the MAF in the past. Took my car in to get diagnosed for that but I won't have an answer any time soon.

You never had any problems with the maf? Did you have a tune on your car while using the maf? I'm hoping it's just the maf and not like a vacuum leak..

I am tuned with Uprev but I'm not sure if my current problems are linked to the MAF or not. I would still contact Seymore4 first since he is a tuner that has experience with Uprev and their products and can probably save you some trouble.
