Generic headers (ebay headers)

I crew member is selling some ebay headers he never used them since he has the ad g35, my question is has anybody had any experience with eBay headers? Are they reliable? Any gains?

You need to first research headers and how by themselves, they do very little for our cars.

i heard its really expensive to change the header's so i would just pass. but if you do, do it i would just pick up some quality headers so you dont have to pay say another 500$ to install.

Thanks guys..I'll just wait on headers then. For the meantime I'll save up for my cat back, rims, and coilovers

If you research them, you will find that headers are one of the worst "bang for the buck" you can buy. You might gain 5-8 hp, a few more with long tube style. A good tune costs less in the end with better results.

Catback, wheels, and coilovers are all great starter mods. Headers are unnecessary and, like mentioned already, yield few gains considering how much they cost and how difficult they are to get to. If you're pressed on performance, look at getting a plenum spacer and HFC or test pipes. The plenum spacer is a great bang-for-your-buck mod that costs less than $200 for a basic spacer, and can be installed easily. Cats are the most restrictive part of the stock exhaust system so getting HFCs or test pipes will free up airflow. Headers are one of the last things you should worry about—unless you're tracking the car or want the biggest number on the dyno, you don't need headers. Certainly not ebay headers. Do your research on what's best.

**** yeah ebay headers! Although you wont see any gains unless you shave the carpet under the gas pedal as well. The extra room allows the pedal to go further making your car faster.

Merry Christmas and happy new year.
