Hi: I have a 2006 G35 auto that I am in process of replacing radio with pioneer unit with backup camera. I have removed old unit and while tapping into the purple wire in trunk the car will not start. I have checked all fuses and battery is fully charged. Of note, the fuel indicator is bottomed out and the parking indicator doesn't come on. Please assist... the car did start earlier today before messing with back up camera. Thanks Joe

 

Sound like when you tapped into the purple wire (which i assume is the reverse switch wire). You possibly shorted
Something within the shifter or neutral start switch. It maybe sensing the car is not shifted into park and its causing the car not to crank.

Do you have lights and accessory power
