VK 56 swap

Hello, new user here. I have a 07 g35 coupe. I have been doing quite a bit of research on the swap and am set on doing it now.One of the main things i cant seem to find much info on is how the engine must be mounted or if any fabrication has to be done i.e.(strut towers, mounts) so if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate the info.

I'm not trying to detour you, in fact there's no one who'd like to see it more than I. Its gonna be a long hard road tho.

I looked into this once just for fun and there's a LOT of hurdles to jump. Lots of computer issues due to multiple reasons that I can't recall specifically off hand. I'm assuming you would have to gut everything and probably build a new dash. Plus, does any VK have a 6spd mated to it? I would hope you wouldn't go auto, in which case, which tranny to use that's computer compatible?

Frankly an LSx swap is smarter, but the VK would be extremely unique.

Great men never became great by doing things the easy way. Greatness and easy don't go hand in hand. Once you get your swap done and operating flawlessly others will follow.

trans from g35 bolts to the engine with an adapter plate and the wiring harness plugs into the ecm as well i would most likely imagine it will have to be flashed or just have to get a stand alone module seeing as im goin from 6 to 8 cylinnders but like i said my main issue is mounting and seeing how much fabrication needs to be done. so any help even the slightest, links or otherwise would be appreciated.

Haha ooook, problem is its not greater than an LSx. Its just more difficult. With all the aftermarket options for LS motors its easily the better choice.

(Again, not to detour, I'd love to see it, but facts is facts.)

I wonder if Top Secret used an LS motor when they dropped a V8 in a G35 coupe and added twin turbos. Yes the LS is easy and yes it works but, the engine design is old and Chevy has used the same design for decades adding power along the way but, what he's doing will have a lot of followers.
