The JWT pop charger comes with that crappy heat shield. I sold mine a little over a year ago after having it for several years. It bolts to spot where the air box is and then slides over a lip within the engine bay. It's one of the things I disliked the most about that mod. I'd get a plenum spacer from Motordyne vs. the pop charger if I could do it again (I have that also).

I already have a 5/16th iso thermal spacer. I just got the pop charger and ztube in mail cant wait to throw it on! They also have to fix a weld on my ART pipes because im getting a horrible rattle snake noise when my rpms decrease so he is fixing that and going to retune my car for free!

It doesn't matter how much we advise members not to buy/do something they just go ahead and waste their $$ any way! Kinda makes you wonder why they'd ask questions in the first place? Poor Patrick, he won't realize the advice we gave him was correct till some great grandma in a VW buss leaves him at a stop sign this summer. Oh yea, did we mention "Heat Soak" with exposed filters? Yes we did!

First of all I thought we don't "condone street racing". Also I bought the pop charger because I like the way it looks and the sound. I'm not racing on a track I'm not street racing for money. I drive around with my friends the 5-6whp ill lose is not a big deal at all to me. And I asked if the link I posted came with the heat shield, and the questions is for my knowledge. This forum is supposed to help members and usually specially you Gary give me good advise but if I choose to go another route that will cause me to lose Whp that's my choice. I don't consider it a waste of money. Thanks
