G35 panel question

So I have a diamond graphite G and my dad has a white one, is it possible to switch the panels? I want to change my car to white but I don't want to trade it because it only has 30k miles for an 04. Thanks!

You want a white (Ivory Pearl) G35, have yours painted! Cost to change the color s/b in the $6+K area done right...switch panels? No

I drove his car before and it feels much different from mines. Do you guys know if the roof panel is removable as well?

Oh I never thought of that! I was thinking of a gloss pearl white. Is it hard to wrap it yourself?

I personally haven't done it myself. Although many people here have, hopefully they'll chime in with their 0.02 soon

It's definitely not easy. Would be worth paying someone to do a wrap for you.

Ivory white's not bad, but if you really wanted to go Ivory white, get a custom job with more flake in it, maybe some color flake too. oem ivory looks pretty plain until you get up close to it.

You can swap everything but the unibody. In other words, the quarter panels and the roof don't just "come off" they're welded together. Then you'd also have mis-matched door jambs, etc.

So you can get about 70-80% there by swapping doors, bumpers, trunk, fenders, hood, rocker panels, and the windshield/roof trim. Getting creative for a minute: just painting the quarter panels, roof, and jambs would come out cheaper than a full re-spray.

This should give you an idea of what a stripped G unibody would look like (pic is a 350Z, pretty much the same thing)

^exactly what i was going to say. just swap up to what you can and get the rest painted. but yes just swapping cars or wrap would be more cost effective
