Quote: The car is from a friend. Has check engine light so need to figure out how to pass smog.

Car has oil leak, taking 1 L every 1k miles.

Car also has electrical leak (most likely through the BOSE stereo system).

Friend told me the electricle leak is pretty common with the 2003 g35. THe solution is aftermarket stereo or just take the fuse out during long term storage.

Question is, is the engine on these things pretty good? Can it land to 200k miles without problems?

Should i even bother with this? I just really miss a manual so it would be my beater car!

Walk away in a rapid manner.

Only way I would buy a car like that is if it was dirt cheap....$1500-2000. And I only say I would buy it because I know how to work on these cars and would DIY.

If you have to pay to fix anything on this car, i'd walk away
