Imo spend less on car and already have brembos > spend more on car and an additional $1k on brakes....jus sayin

 

I wouldn't base my selection on which car to buy based on the brakes it's wearing. I'd pick the best condition car I could afford at the time. And if the OP has his heart set on Brembos, but finds a very clean, well-maintained 2006 or 2007 that he can't pass up...it's not the end of the world. The brembo's can be added.

I just wouldn't specifically target 03/04's just for the brakes, especially given the age of these cars.

 

I based my purchase at the fact that the 03/04 was cheaper and brembos. No regrets

 

No real need to upgrade factory non-Brembo brakes unless you do trackdays, as Mustang said.

Don't get me wrong, Brembo's are nice. But if one can find even an 06 Coupe 6mt in great shape and good price, that would still be a better option IMO. With the 06's and up, you also get other factory upgrades (headlights, tailights, etc).
