When my previous 06 G35 6 sp manual with 171796 miles needed a few thousand dollars worth of work, I traded it in for my current 2012 G37S 6 speed manual that now has 65k miles

Perhaps you should consider doing the same with a thirteen year old car?

I'd try to drain and fill the trans. Your not going to get all of it out but put Nissan fluid back in, the same amount that you took out. I'd pull the battery cable while you do that for about 15 minutes and try again.

Since your asking, I'd take it in.

Low fluid, clogged filter? Check 1-2 psi.. Mine slips too and also generates a howling sound that was relieved by drain and refill of teams fluid where I discovered low fluid and replaced my filter.. The howling reduced tremendously.. Not sure if exactly pertains to your case but somethings are more simple than expected especially wit 170k plus.. But idk;p
