are bolt ons worth it?

I was messing with a 2 door accord v6 and that thing is actually faster the a 2 door 03 g35. Im pretty sure it was like a 07ish accord.

Is it even worth spending a few k on bolts ons if this car isnt that fast to begin with? Ive even raced those genesis turbo and didn't win by much. A maxima wrx, mostly every car in its class is as fast ot faster.

All the bolt ons make this car 1 of the fastest in its class, audi and bmw are still gonna be faster. So is the wrx. newer jettas are faster too

YES but they mean NOTHING without a tune

I've seen 290whp on bolt on's on a de non rev up. You just need to figure out the right combination.

Yea but to get that fast, the car is gonna have a full exhaust and screaming to get fukd with. It is possible to get around 280 to the wheels without a full 3 inch exhaust

Just about anything can be fast if you throw enough money at it. I say it's not worth it. These cars, my car is 10 years old. Save yourself the money and buy something new.

Not that it matters but the guy that posted the video later commented (first comment out of 2) that the dyno was incorrect and actually only made 275 whp.

Hahaha haha this is a troll post.

Maxima? 328i? Genesis 2.0T? Accord? You're out if your mind. Wrx, yes, but all those other cars are much slower. If you're losing to those cars, you need to hang up your vagina.

You could make over 300 whp with good boltons, cams, and a tune. without cams, you can get damn close, if you use the right combination of boltons.

He said 07ish. What year you talkin?

Also, its not all about hp. The G is geared very aggressively (hence our horrible mpg). Also, weight (I'm sure the accord is a bit lighter) and the fact that the G is rwd. Not everything is about hp.

Just more about the Genesis, the 2.0t 0-60 is like 7 seconds or something. Even the most powerful Genesis (3.8L track edition) is a bit slower than the 03 G 6mt.

Yeah, but I'm saying how new? What year did the accord become faster than the G? Cuz it wasn't 07. Maybe a decade later, like a '13, but that's irrelevant. The fact that the G is STILL being compared (13yrs later!) To new technology/engineering is a feat in and of itself. This car has proven itself time and time again in looks and power. The only thing that can be considered 'old' is the tech packages, but things like Bluetooth and nav, etc. were barely available in the life of the G35. It's still a great car, and its still faster than a lot of other cars in (what would be) its class today. I've said it before and I'll say it again: anyone who thinks the G is "slow" is doing it wrong...especially if you're losing to a Genesis 2.0t..like that's just wrong (or a trolling a$$ lie)
