I'm a big fan of the suede inserts on the seats. That's hot.

I thought about getting an R34 GT-R, but all said and done it would have cost me over 6 million out the door, and that is just a bit too steep for me right now. What I really wanted was a new Z as I have a Z32, but I needed to have enough luggage space to throw in a suitcase. Plus I was in love with the V35/G35 from the day it came out. While I do love the GT-R, it just wasn't what I was looking for at the time. I guess I have grown out of my boy racer phase a bit and was looking for something with a bit more luxury.

About the speedo, I know, my Z is the same way. But then in Japan where am I realistically going to drive any faster 180km/h, most of this time I am lucky if I get it out of 3rd gear.

Can you remove the limiter? Or is that illegal in Japan?

Hey lolo,

Do you have a cassette deck in there? Or is it a MD player? I drove an '05 sedan for a week and a half, it only had the 6 disc player.

Did you guys notice that in the center of his instrument panel it said (REV) for reverse instead of a big R like ours? Interesting...

lolo, what does it say for each option? (Park, Drive, or gear numbers)?

It is indeed an MD player. They are quite popular here in Japan and is a nice option because I have a bunch that I can now play in the car as well.

The REV is for the Rev light like all '05 6MTs have. I have it set for 5000 right now and will keep it there until I hit 1000kms (600 miles). From that point it is no holds barred on the old girl.

When I get a chance I will take a picture of the Navi buttons. Big surprise they are all in Japanese but I thought you guys might enjoy seeing them. BTW, can you watch TV on your Navis in the US?

lolo

no navi-tv here. the navigation doesnt allow you to program when you are moving either. There is a company that makes a plug in unit for auxillary inputs.

That's cool! I've got a Sony MD player in my Beetle. It's cool because I don't have to worry about scratching the disc. I used to use my MD walkman when I rode my Motrcycle. And it's great because you can pack so many more disc's in the storage over the standard CD's.

Later,

Ray
