Talking Skyline has arrived

Thought everyone would enjoy seeing some pics of my new '05 6MT Skyline coupe. I picked it up on Monday and have been enjoying it since. I moved to the Skyline after driving a Fairlady Z TT for the past 5 years. I still love the Z, but am having fun getting used everything about the new ride.

I know that pictures are of the greatest quality, I guess it is time to invest in a new camera, but better than nothing I say.

Please let me know what you think about the JDM Skyline.

Congrats on your new ride !

How about changing your badge to Infiniti, labelling the "skyline" with "infiniti", and replacing your "350GT" with "G35"?

My buddy just came back from Japan and told me about how ppl do that to be unique, which is pretty much like how we like to rebadge them as "Nissans"

Wow, this is a first on the forum....i think....no one has a real Right hand drive skyline. Very nice! But i had a question, whats that weird print on the seats? Is that what the cloth seats look like in Japan?

Congrats.

lolo300, i'm sure we'll have a million questions for ya, but here's another:

How much did you pay for it in Yen? Above or below MSRP?

Thanks for the comments

Re: Rebadging

I have been thinking about doing that even before I took delivery. Until I get my hands on the Infiniti parts I am going to shave the Nissan Hamburger and 350GT from the rear, leaving only SKYLINE. I also want to do something about the Nissan mark on the grill, it appears to separate from the grill itself, does anyone know if it can be removed? Still thinking about what to do about some of the interior pieces, namely the airbag cover.

Re: The seats

I have the leather seats with suede inserts. This is something new for '05 in Japan, don't the Infinitis have this? I think this what you are referring to.

Re: Price paid

I worked real hard on the sales team and got them to come down 337,000 yen on the car itself and threw in the Fujitsubo, priced at 95,000 yen. I have been dealing with this dealer for a couple of years and they both love and hate to see me come in the door. All told I paid 4.2 million, but this includes lots of taxes for the good old government.

I will try to take a few more pictures in the near future and let y'all drool over the Skyline.

Thanks for the info!

Oh i'm drooling alright - if you want to badge it "infiniti", I'm sure there are plenty of people on this forum who would be glad to trade with you.

Just do a search on "Rebadging" or "emblem" for tips on the DIYs

Question

I see a G35 coupe. Am I missing something here?

What's so "cool" about this car? Just because it says Nissan Skyline on the car?

lolo, could you post a pic of the rear of the car? I'm curious how exactly the rear lights look with orange blinkers. Thanks.

LOLO300ZX,

I'll Trade you the center section on you're steering wheel, and I also have my factory
infiniti center logo for you're front grill. Let me know what you think. Take care and I love you're car.
