Factory jack sucks

I know factory jacks are pretty shady to begin with, but I don't know if this thing is just that badly made or what.

Yep... I can't for the life of me figure out why they used that god damn circle thing at the end of the jack. Never seen a jack like that before. I scrape my knuckles on the ground every time I use it and it kills your hands.

Pretty much all factory jacks suck, but ours seems to take the cake.

Yes I started noticing the bar start to bend the metal soon as I started jacking the car and wondered if the thing was going to last long enough to get my flat tire high enough off the ground. Luckily it did. I am going to pull my sub out and tote around my floor jack for now on, heavy as hell but more reliable. I will eventually get a small hydraulic jack sometime in the future.

One thing I noticed, the lower control arm was replaced on the passenger side and the ball joint is already worn out. I am the second owner so there is no telling when it was replaced. They must of just used one from a junkyard (which is not always bad) as there really is not any road debris built up on it like on the upper. I am replacing the drivers side this week.

BB Z30, it has always given me problems taking pictures for some odd reason. Which is why I don't use it much for that. Close ups are the worse, Further away is not to bad though. You can't tell unless you look good at the picture but the bumper was replaced and is off color. That has been nag of mine since I got the car. It was wrecked and had overspray on the exhaust until I replaced it recently. I will have to get the whole car repainted in the near future, the clear coat is deteriorating on the roof and trunk areas. Not bad yet, but you can see it when you are close up. I need to get that plastic/metal piece that covers the drivers door lock. I was coming back from Charlotte one weekend and it fell off somewhere around Greensboro. I have been procrastinating replacing that for a while now.

What is brilliant is to join AAA and let them come and change the tire for you.

A flat tire in heavy rain, snow, ice, cold, a dark night with no road shoulder, dressed for a wedding will make the AAA membership charge seem like a bargain

If that crappy jack fails you could be injured or cause additional damage to your vehicle.

Dressed for a wedding you will never make it to after waiting 4 hours for AAA to maybe show up while your girl sits there in the passengers seat all dolled up and fuming mad at your unwillingness to grab the situation by the horns and do what's necessary. Your MAN card is revoked until you clean up your act and harden the %$#@ up.

Have a blow out on THAT and then tell me your stories about the factory jack.

oops...sorry. Never had a blow-out on the stretch...please hold...

Blew a tire on THAT setup. It sucked. Changed it on the side of the road. took a few minutes. Didn't even need wood blocks. Factory jack > everything

lol I bet it did, I wouldn't be able to lower the car if I wanted to, it barely gets in the driveway now. I should have taken some pictures of the bottom of the exhaust after I changed it.
