*PICS*--Just washed my '05 coupe

i've only had this car for less than a week, but it truly is a phenomenal ride... over the years, i've been lucky to own/drive many different autos and i can't remember grinning this much with the others (maybe my heavily mod-ed '93 VW Corrado SLC, but that for a different forum )... i'm also very happy that i got "out of my box" and went with the athens blue exterior/graphite interior... if it were sunny at all here in the midwest, the pictures would do it more justice... i'm looking into setting up a site at cardomain.com so that i can post hi-res versions of these...

for those who have an '05 Coupe 6MT on order and just can't wait--trust me, it'll be worth it!

Cool to read there is another ex-Corrado owner. Even today, I have yet to drive a fwd car that compares, 15 years later. And no that's not rose coloured glasses, it's reality. I think the Mini would be as close as it gets. Man I wish they had carried on with that car. When I sold mine in '01, the neighbours were blown away when I told them how old the car was. They thought it was less than a couple years old. The design was still fresh, and power to weight for the best GTI today is no better, stock.
The G is definitely a different kinda animal, but just as fun and rewarding to drive and own, I must say. I'm selling my '03 to buy an '05.
The Athens you have looks great!

Cheers,
Derek

I must admit that color looks very nice, and probably would be my second choice, but nothing....and I mean nothing beats diamond graphite.

i bought my SLC in 93 and sold it in 02 with 72K miles... it was a deep, dark metallic green and i had accessorized it inside/out over the years as i would collect "petty cash" for each project... when it became time to move on, i ended up with an '03 audi A4 as my new ride which was no doubt more practical, better built and more refined but relatively "soul-less"... the new owner of my ex-corrado was a younger version of me, so i guess the cycle carried on... with the G, i once again feel "possessive" of my car...
