Where to buy OEM drive belts?
So a while ago, Riverside Infiniti was selling both drive belts for $30. Does anyone if they're still selling them or where else to buy them from at a reasonable price?
Go on line and ask the parts manager at Riverside and OC Infiniti if they're still selling them at a good price. You should get a discount since you're a member here! OE belts are the only ones I'll install, still good (not cracked) thru 30K miles...Gary

I called Riverside, they said they don't ship parts even. Perry quoted me over $100 + shipping for the belts. These prices are ridiculous. What's everyone else doing?

Go with the idler pulley delete on your '04. You'll free up a bit of extra rotational mass in the motor by taking out that unnecessary and heavy pulley and going with an OEM belt from the versions of this motor that come from the factory without it. This kit also comes with the spacer necessary to fill the space where the mounting bracket for the old pulley used to go. This is a must-do mod on your car when doing belts. Pick up your A/C pulley from Advance Auto or Auto Zone... that one doesn't matter too much. The belt and spacer combo is currently $48 here, but it comes out to around $55 with shipping (at least to my address).
Try calling your local Nissan dealer and see how much they charge to pick up the shorter belt there. They should also be able to order you the spacer and it may end up being cheaper if you go that route since Nissan tends to charge less for the same parts than Infiniti and you won't have to pay for shipping.
Try this discount code too at Z1 when checking out: It is supposed to give you 6% off storewide: 12Z1BF6
You can also throw the OEM A/C pulley belt in from Z1 for an extra $16 if you want to get it all at the same place.

Click on the z1 motors ports link I posted earlier. It shows the before and after belt configuration. If your main serpentine belt goes around 4 pulleys... you don't have it. If it goes around 5, you do.
