Would you buy this G and fix it?
I would stay away from buying it esp looking at the pics. I was in a accident last summer where my rear 1/4 panel was damaged, both of the passenger side wheels were scratched, side and cutain airbag deployed on passenger side only. my total bill came to around 14 grand (which is including labour) from an infiniti run bodyshop. when i told ppl about they they were suprised cuase it didnt look that bad and there wasnt any frame damage at all.
It appears that there was latteral impact since the side and curtain air bags have deployed. This means the entire body has twisted and this is evident on the picture of the open sunroof. If you look closely at the lower left side of this photo, you will notice a crease by the sunroof opening. This car is definitely for parting out and beyond repair. Stay away from it!
I bought a wrecked 2003 sedan and had some success, but it is not easy and you need to do your Homework. The only way You should consider buying a wrecked car is to make sure title is not a salvage, and be willing to buy another car that has been hit from the rear. Marry the 2 and sell the parts that are left over. Otherwise you'll spend a fortune on Airbags and locked seatbelts. I've seen front clips for $4500, I wouldnt spend more than 8500 on the car that was shown on ebay. You also need to be sure you can find a mechanic that would do it b/c they like to make money on parts and on this job they wouldn't
