2003 Coupe Limp Mode

So I purchased my manual '03 Coupe with Brembo about a month ago, everything was going great, put new brakes on about a week ago. Yesterday I was driving, and all of the sudden, my car went into limp mode. I pulled into a gas station and parked, I could rev the car fine when it was in neutral, but as soon as I shifted into first, it wouldn't rev past 1000 RPM. There was no check engine light, or any other warning light for that matter.

I disconnected the battery to reset the ECU, and that worked to get it diving fine again so I could get home. Today I went to the grocery store, hoping that it was just a one off glitch, I got there fine, but I got the same problem when I tried to go back.

This time, the ABS, VDC OFF, and SLIP lights all came on, I tried the reset ECU trick again, this time it didn't work. So currently my car is stranded in a grocery store parking lot, and I have no idea how to fix it.

Also when I started the car in the parking lot, it struggled to start, which is making me think that its a problem its a problem with the battery or alternator, though the alternator was replaced a couple months ago.

Has anybody run into this problem, or any ideas on how to fix it.

Limp mode is designed to prevent further damage to the vehicle when something is failing.

Update: Went to go and limp my car the .5 mile back to my apartment with the hazards on, I would have preferred to leave it at the grocery store, but they tow overnight. I managed to get the back back into my apartment's parking lot, where it died. The entire way back the electrical system was flickering, and finally just didn't have enough power to run the engine, bringing me back to thinking that the alternator is the problem.

That's why I initially posted, I had red posts stating that it was either the camshaft position sensor, MAF sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. My situation doesn't sound much like those, unless the camshaft sensor could cause the alternator to not work as well for some reason, or it could be both at the same time. I wasn't sure, so I figured I would ask here.

Sounds like a MAF problem.

***bringing thread back to see if anyone can help***
I have a 03 g35 coupe with about 117xxx miles on it. Car has been on limp mode and threw out the p0303 code I believe. Which is misfire on cylinder 3. Also the car has been burning a lot of oil before this happened but I would always be on top of it. Here's what I've done...
Changed the spark plugs
Checked to see if it was ignition coils, all coils were good
Cleaned the MAF
Someone told me it could be a bat cat but I don't think it would throw out the p0303 code it that was the case???
Idk what else it can be.
At this point I'm considering throwing in a new engine but I'd like to see if anyone has had these problems and found a solution before throwing down that kind of cash for an engine

so if you swap the coils for cyl 4 and 3 then cyl 3 will still misfire?

Does the spark plug get fouled quickly?
Because its either rings or fuel injector.

When I first pulled the spark plugs out to change them all looked normal except the one on the third cylinder which looked real dirty and was really black. Would that be the cause of bad fuel injectors or piston rings?
Also I went to check the cars mpg and it was getting about 8miles per gallon. I was driving the car around a little because that was my only means of transportation but I stopped. Did the mpg go down cuz I was driving it on limp mode or could it be another problem
