Cool how reliable is 2005 coupe Automatic, with over 100k miles on it?

I am looking to purchase one with around 100-120k miles on it. Some people are advising me against it saying it gives too many problems after that many miles. whats your experience guys?
Another question, if something goes wrong can I take it to a normal mechanic or do I have to take it to infiniti/Nissan?

Thank you for your help!

Original owner here with about 155k miles. Engine and transmission are sound, however, I have had to repair a lot of things.

Water pump, radiator, alternator, suspension, wheel bearing, and tie rod end. A few more things I left out, but a lot of those wear out around that mileage.

You can take it to a normal mechanic, but some things require the dealer. You should be able to get parts from Nissan or take it there.

If it was maintained properly and not abused by the previous owner, it should be fine. Maintenance is key.

I'm at 125k on my 05 and it runs great. Its my weekend car though, and does not get abused at all.

I bought my 2006 automatic coupe with 14k miles on it...I'm up to 132k now. I have the oil changed regularly and have not had any problems as of yet.

I own and maintain 4 cars (c5, g35, gmc suv, acura rsx) I wouldn't say the G35 requires any more maintenance / fixing than any other.

If the G you're looking at has been well maintained, garage kept you shouldn't have many issues! A good mechanic can work on any car regardless of make or model, finding one might be a challenge!

I got mine at 90k miles in 2012, and now I am at ~143k. I have no clue what was done the first 90k miles, but so far I haven't had any major issues. Aside from the oc issue, just the typical maintenance has been done. Treat it well, and it will treat you well!

mine only has about 92,000 miles but over 75,000 miles are either super charged or with the current twin turbos and its still holding up.

04 AT Coupe here. Bought the car a couple months ago with about 170k miles.

No major issues at all. Just some minors things like the control arm bushing is shot, fuel sensor had to be cleaned, lock motor replaced, and radio replaced.

Mechanically speaking, just make sure you drain and fill the transmission with Matic S and drain/fill the differential with 80w-90.

Car looks like it could go 250k+ easily with maintenance.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

05 sedan purchased with 46K on the clock currently at 137K. All maintenance done by me regularly and in the 91K miles I've owned her I have replaced (not counting mods) the:
front lower control arms
radiator/thermostat (both just last week)
front ball joints

Other than that only routine maintenance. Hard to beat that kind of reliability............
