I am goin in for Llumar tint tomorrow and was wondering if I am getting ripped off or not, but I am getting ALL windows done for $189 out the door...good price for those who have Lumar???

And does it mess up with your GPS/satellite radio?

One place told me it would (because I guess they stock the old Llumar film that has metal in it) and the other said that the Llumar specifically says that it won't on the label....

Regardless if 189 is high or not, he told me that they tint for the Infiniti dealership across the street and already have computer patterns for my car. The guy on the phone (owner) also addressed that the G35 rolls up the window a tad when opening and closing the car and that also needs to be addressed so I guess they know alot about the car and such....what do you guys think? I care about quality of work as well as knowledgable people.

For those who were curious, they said they tint for Mission Viejo Infiniti (SoCal)

You could call the dealership to see if that is who they use.

For a well done tint job, expect to pay around $200, so if they are good, then it's a decent price.

 

I paid $175 for mine. $200 isn't that bad.

 

$179 for mine 15% LLumar. Dont worry about the window rolling up a tad, this will not be an issue or a problem.

i got my car tinted from mission viejo infiniti. I wouldn't do it, the tint job was pretty horrible. The rear tint had bubbles when i purchased the car and had them redo it and there are still bubbles. Also on the side windows they did a crappy job at the edge of the window. It looks liek they riped the tint off rather than cutting it. I would take your car to somewhere else.

PS: your navigation and radio should be fine.

 

How did your tint turn out??

 

I paid $140 for llumar metallic tint for all windows on my G35c. If you haven't done your tints, I can refer you to the guy. He does good work, tints look like they were put on yesterday and I've had them for 2 years. No bubbles or anything of that nature. Llumar tint does contain metal, and metal tint is like putting a blanket over your radar detector so it will not go through the rear and sides. It shouldn't affect your GPS signal as the receiver is in the front.
