To those of you under 25, when you get old (and decrepit) like me you wont care what other people think, because it dont matter. Unless its a lady....... If your young and succesful people are going to be jealous, whether its a hot car, nice house or hot lady on your arm.

I have 4 kids, three of which have their licenses. There is no F***G way that anyone of them are going to drive this car without me in the passenger seat. Not that I'm a ***** (cause I am), but I'm afraid they'll take after me. I totaled three cars before I was 21. Course I'm 44 now and havent had an accident (except when I was rear ended) since age 21.

28 and My G is the reason I work hard. Got the nice house, got the nice wife, soon to have kids and I ordered the car Lazer Red 6mt due here in August. All of this impractical crap from the in-laws.........please!!!! The worst part about this car is that I think I will cry when I see it. Then I will have to go lift and play football so I won't be a sissy.

 

Ha Ha, That's comedy STARTERTAN. I get the same stuff here at my company. I'm Network Admin over here and hear it all day long ever since I got my G. "We pay these kids too much!" Blah BLah. They gripe about it all day long till the mail server dies and they can't do business anymore. Then they don't mind the paying the whipper-snapper "decently" to fix their Network woes. So funny. I get looks all the time from high schooler's around my area. See, I live in a ghetto area and to see a G roll up, the guys get all pissed. Of course i'm only 26, have a degree in business, and work 40 hours a week. It took a lot of saving and hard work to get this G. They don't know the whole story.

 

I'm 40, and I can tell you that the evil eye ain't reserved for you younger bros. I get it too. However, the constant compliments and adulation that the car attracts, not to mention jockin' by the hotties, more than makes up for it. So f@#% the haters.

I work in IT too, and even my co-workers, my PEERS, now think I must make too much money. (LOL) The car just looks expensive, it can't be helped. Gotta love it!

I'm 26, married, no children, I don't work and never really have, b/c I'm doing the student thing still, hopefully for 1 year more only, then I will iA have my M.D. and I'll pay my mom back for the coupe she bought me(by allowing her to retire from her pediatric practice), but of course I won't have time to drive my coupe b/c residency is a biatch!

Ya I get haters all the time. One time to my face. Went into this not so friendly store and there were 4 other guys with their cars. Snickered as I walked in and I could hear them making not so nice comments out loud. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] no matter, I was thinking bad about their cars too, boxy WRX, old generation A4 with at least a pile of junk 2 feet high in there, no wonder the guy tinted every window in the car. Then a little primer color CRX and a Legend. Hmmm, I don't know if they were jealouse or really don't like the G35 coupe. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but the little snickers were pretty childish. I guess they were good friends with the owner too, cause he gave crappy customer server. Didn't even acknoledge me and my wife. We were looking at rims, but with the non service we got, we left. Gave a 20 minute chance too, not once did he look at us or offer service, just sat on the phone, helped the punk asses and got back on the phone. Looked through 3 fat books of rims. found ones we really wanted and wanted to discuss tire options on. PHUK that [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] ok sorry for going off. Hard to find good customer service now days. I should send him a thank you letter for helping me spend my money on better things at better places.

Hang in there Kid. When I was in high school I had a 300Zx. Yeah I worked my butt off. And yeah it was worth it. I only thing I regret is that I didn't have a much free time as the other kids. But working hard and saving for a goal builds good values. If you can save the money, then in the future, anything else is possible.

I got my G by walkin into a liquor store and then a gas station and some other small convienence stores along the way to the dealership.

People always say "It is loney at the top". For most people that look at our G35s, we are on top and they are jealous b/c they don't see the sacrifice that we made to purchase this vehicle. Some saved for months while some put in ungodly hours at work. It the youngsters that are buying their Gs at 18 or 23, congrats. I got my G35 6MT coupe at 29 and i'm loving it.

The world is truly your oyster. It is up to you to decide how bad you want itand how hard you are willing to work to obtain it. Sorry for the being long winded. Let's all drop the hammers!
