Your bigger issue is not replacing the part, it's figuring out what shorted it that caused it to melt. If you replace the part without finding the cause more than likely your new link will suffer the same fate.
no, the part i need plugs into the bottom of the fusible link, it has 2 connectors that come up from the bottom of the battery well. I think it was my alternator that caused this. So I already replaced it but now I just need this harness
Going to try fixing it. Gonna replace the fusible link and I broke up in that plastic connector to find these two inside.
the melted wire harness is from corrosion getting on the wire and creating more and more resistance until it fried.
I pried these connectors apart and got the wire out and cleaned them up. I'm going to reconnect these wires, insulate them and plug them into the bottom of a new fusible link...
I did it to mine, I went to a junk yard that had the z and g35. The guy cut the wiring with connector then I gave it to a mechanic to solder them for me with heat shrinks. It worked but now I have a misfire but not sure if its related or not.
Yeah I recommend hitting up a junkyard, most Nissan models use the same style of fusible link so you should be able to just pop a few hoods and find one that's the same. Cut off the harness leaving about 6" of wire or so, do a soldered splice with shrink tube to repair the wire.
Just took apart the plastic connector and there were two metal connectors inside. I cleaned them up and used crimp connectors to make little extensions and hook them into a bottom of a new fusible link
car is running more smoothly than I could have ever dreamed LOL and this little project force me to replace the alternator the fan shroud drain the coolant
