Anyone willing to Dyno?

Like the rest of you guys, I'm anxiously awaiting a road test for our 05 6MT coupes.

Is there anyone out there that has a broken in 05 that can dyno?

PhxBlue just dynoed at 260. It was in his sig recently. I think he also has a intake and or exhaust.

Yes I have an 05 coupe 6 speed. It has a Z-tube/K&N, and Injen SES exhaust. Numbers are in the sig.

I have a stock 05 coupe 6MT too. I'm up for a dyno, give me another month to give her a good break-in. Until then, Blue do you have a pix of your dynosheet?

Hmm, what is the percentage loss of power in our cars, 18% ? If so that puts the horsepower in the 245ish range stock.

If 18% is correct and the dyno I used gave me correct numbers that should put my car some where near 318 at the crank from just 3 power mods. But math was not my strong point so I could be totally incorrect.

Stock G35 = 298 hp and you dynoed 260.8. If you were bone stock... you would have about a 10% drive train loss, which is way too low. Odds are the dyno was off a bit. I bet a stock G would have dynoed higher on that same dyno than most other dynos.

Without a stock G being dynoed for a baseline, you can all but forget about comparing your G to others. I suggest you head to your local 1/4 mile track with a group of other G's if you want to see how well your mods stack up. After about 15-20 runs you should have your launch technique worked out pretty well and from that point on, the comparisons should be valid.

I've got an '05 coupe 6MT bone stock with 2000 miles on her since Jan 8, properly broken in. Assuming 15% drivetrain loss and 298 HP at the crank I would estimate peak HP to hit 153. I'm up for a dyno but I'm in the Roseville (Sacramento) area and don't know any local dyno shops around. Anyone know of a local place that doesn't charge much for runs?

he is not stock, not all cars are going to be 298 at the crank, some will be higher while some will be lower.

also what gear was that?

Todd, your math is a little skewed....298 hp and 260.8rwhp is 12.5% DT loss, but he isn't stock. I'm not exactly sure what his mods would add, but say they added around 7rwhp that would put him around 15% DT loss, which is possible, my old celica had exactly a loss of 15%. Also factor in the SAE correction, was it even SAE corrected?
