Good price or no?
Go to "edmunds.com". You can work up your car with all the options and you can see three different prices: The MSRP price, the invoice price and the fair market price people are paying in your area. You may then negotiate with the dealer a price as close to invoice as you can.
I don't know how close to the invoice price the $38,090 is, but it is $1,450 under MSRP. Don't even look at Edmunds "True Market Value", look at the MSRP to see if it matches the sticker price on your car and then look at the invoice price listed on the second column. You can propably do better than the $38,090 by a couple of hundred bucks. Remember that the price of the 5AT can be easier negotiated than the 6MT, since the 6MT is more in demand.
Thanks. $38,090 is about $1700 above invoice and $1450 under sticker as you said.
I'd just like to get a feel for what other folks are getting on a similarly equipped car. Like you said, I have a gut feeling I can shave off a few hundred more, but I'm interested to hear others experiences.
