G35c no good in snow?

when there is ANY type of frozen precipitation on the roads, my G stays in the garage and my pile-o-crap Alero gets me around town.

I test drove an 05 AT on about 1/4" snow and the car was incappacitated. The models on the base AT are in fact all weather tires and they do just fine in the snow. I've personally driven an '05 AT with these all weather tires and had no problem with about an inch of residual snow on the ground from a storm two days earlier. Of course, I've lived in the midwest my whole life and have >10 years worth of winter driving experience.
I have an 04 G35C 6MT and ordered (4) Bridgestone Blizzaks from Tirerack in 225/50-17 size for the front and 225/55-17 for the rear. It's a dedicated winter tire that is fanatstic, repeat fantastic, in snow and ice conditions. The tradeoff is of course, handling on dry roads. Can't wait for the beginning of April to put the stock 18's on.
My 2 cents...
I am currently driving from SoCal to Boston (on hold in Indiana). I went through the mountains in Arizona and New Mexico and the slush there kept me to about 40 mph. I have stock "all season tires" that came with my 05G35C and I still felt unsafe. Luckily, there were enough truckers on the road to turn most of the slush to water so I was able to SLOWLY get through the storms. I am current trying to find some snow tires BEFORE I get to Boston.
