crank sensor question

um, so this might be a stupid question but is the RPM gauge supposed to show anything while its cranking? The car doesn't start so i'm not sure if i should be wary of that or what. Would a bad crank sensor cause a "crank / no start issue"?

Crank no start with nothing shown on the tach while cranking is usually a failed crank sensor. Replace with a genuine Nissan or Hitachi sensor.

Silver roundish one is the newest version of the sensor. Supposed to last way longer than the plastic one. It will cost a bit more too.

Its usually the other way around but hey...sometimes miracles do happen!!

Just make sure it is indeed an OEM sensor.
