Hey everyone! So i got codes for bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1 o2 heater failures. I got this code on 2 brand new sensors. I figured maybe i got a bad batch so i had amazon warranty them and installed the 2 new ones. Same codes came back. What do you guys know about this code? Is this a common issue that anyone else has run into? I dont have a lot of experience with the car. I bought it and did a bunch of modification and am now just kind of ironing out the issues. This code to me seems like its either a wiring problem or my ecu is taking a poop. Visually the wiring looks fine. But i'm not sure, its in a loom after all. Perhaps i would sadly be best to pin out the ecu and run continuity tests on the wires for the heater circuit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cant stand having a cel on all the time. I replaced the 02 sensors with new denso units. The part number was triple checked. The car has headers, high flow cats and stock exhuast, plenum spacer and a drop in k&n with a stillen z tube.

 

Just to verify, you replaced the upstream sensors that are in the headers correct? Not the ones on the side of the catalytic converter/test pipes.

 

Check for damaged wiring. Pretty common.

 

Yeah, i replaced the upstream ones. Yeah, i'm afraid the wiring is damaged. Anyone know what a new engine harness costs for these things? This car has spent its whole life in Hawaii so the harness is pretty....crispy. Might be best to stave off future wiring woes by just replacing the engine harness. Where would you guys pick up an oem part like that from?
