ASWC-1 - Install question
ASWC-1 - Install question
I am confused... close to being done with the double din install and I hit a road block. I am trying to hook up the ASWC-1 for the steering wheel controls and looks like we only use 4 wires, (no 3.5 jack).
Black
Green/ White
Red
Grey/ Red
Are we G35 people doing
ASWC - 1 Harness 39
Black on ASWC to Yellow on Harness 39? How do we then ground both???
Green/ White on ASWC to Green on Harness 39??
Grey/ Red on ASWC to Red on Harness 39???
Red on ASWC to Red on main radio Harness?
I assume it is best to use taps or did you guys just cut the harness off and use crimps or butt joints?
Many thanks.
Axxesss tells you to go on their site for install directions but their instructions are anything but.

Thanks.. I just went back to their site and do see good instructions. I was looking at the wrong part of their site after you submit the info.. I was looking at the directions in the lower part of the page, the directions in the higher part are very clear. Thanks!
Just going to say this.............. I would AVOID THE ASWC-1 ...... stay clear of it! I spent 3 hours trying to get this thing going. Two "technical support" reps simply put the phone on mute when the music stopped for a few minutes then hung up (Great for phone time stats, I know how call centers work). Finally the third call the guy answered and tried helping. Said everything was registering correct and said "there must be a setting in your pioneer unit that you need to set for steering wheel controls" The problem is not with us. Whatever. I am heading to Best Buy to pick up the Maestro SW. Will update, I expect a much better experience but will update when its up and going tomorrow in the morning.
You had me looking again, questioning myself but no, no menu, controls or anything of the sort on the Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX.
Feedback for all.. got the Maestro SW - 10 minutes up and running. Called tech support to ask one question, as helpful as can be. So if you ended up buying the ASWC-1 and are having trouble, just buy the Maestro SW.
