Acceleration issues from TPP on 03 manual g/v35

Hi all, first time posting on this forum so let me know if done incorrectly. I've been having an issue on my 03 Nissan Skyline V35 (non US version of G35). It's manual and only has 40k kms (~28000 miles) on it.

It started with the acceleration cutting out for a split second at a certain position on the accelerator. This problem initially only came up after sustained driving, and turning the car off and on again would temporarily fix it. After a while it got worse, happening more regularly and then to the point where my accelerator pedal wouldnt work past that position in the pedal.

I bought an aftermarket tpp sensor and installed it which fixed the problem, though now it's come back after a couple of weeks. Has anyone had any similar problems or any idea what it could be?

Not entirely certain what a TPP sensor is, but I'd wager the problem is that the new one is aftermarket, just going off personal experience and forum reports for crank/camshaft sensors.

From what I've seen, heat makes failing and/or aftermarket sensors start to misbehave (my car always cold started with Duralast camshaft sensors, but would choke out/fail to start when at temperature). Swap to an OEM sensor and your problems should go away, assuming that sensor is the problem. These care are notorious for hating aftermarket sensors in the engine bay.

Sorry, the throttle position sensor. That was my thought too, but the sensor sits in the footwell, not in the engine bay. The OEM suggestion is a good idea though.
