G35 AUTO transmission problem??

Hey whussup everyone, Im new to the g35 scene and thinkin bout buying an 03 automatic black on black infiniti g35. The only issue I am considering before buying this car is the transmission problem rumours. Ive looked around the forum and got some good information in regards to the 6mt but about the automatic I have no clue.. If you guys can give me any information about issues with the automatic tranmission that would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks alot guys..

I have 47,400 on mine and no problems...their was a thread like this last year and out of all the people that posted only 1 person blew his tranny and he said that was because he used the tip tronic for 30,000 + miles and the car only had 40,000+ miles on it

What transmission problem rumors?

I've got an 03 sedan 5AT, 32K miles with no problems.

I actually intended to buy a 6MT, but after driving 2 6MT models with 35-45k miles on them, they felt beat up and kind of "junky." The 5AT felt very solid so I went with it.

04 Auto 89k miles bought it used with 84k on it in Jan 08. got it for a damn good price. Don't know how it was driven before I bought it. Female Attorney owned it figure she babied it. Changed fluid, Fluid was a dark red color, Shop did service on car over life of car said they had not serviced tranny. Shifts solid in manual mode getting on it hard, bumping rev limiter. shifts great in auto mode.
