whp numbers

Hey guys last October I had my 04 auto g35 coupe tuned by soho motorsports and the final whp number was 268 I am unsure what the tq number was but I believe it was in the 250s. My mods are: turbo xs non res test pipes, ISR y pipe and ISR single with deleted resonator, 5/16 plenum spacer and a z tube.

my goal is to reach 280whp could this be possible with LTs, admin intake, and upgraded TB?

if I should go another route please let me know I appreciate the info.

U probably wont be able to get any more power out of ur engine with just bolt-ons. With some internal engine work it will be possible but probably not worth the cost and time.

If you want just a little more power, a small shot of nitrous will be the best option for u.

Yes you should hit about 280 with those mods. However I would instead put that money into an aluminum driveshaft and the 3.5 gear differential from a 6MT (or higher 3.7 / 3.9 depending on how much highway travel you do).

It would be about the same price for the driveshaft/diff but will make the car SUBSTANTIALLY faster.

Here's a link to what gears were used in what models.

I ended at 278hp with my 04 coupe 6mt. FBO's - basically everything you can imagine, including the drive shaft for modifications. 50 or 75 shot is about the only option left without serious internal work or FI.

Plenum spacer, JWT pop charger, 75mm TB, new plugs/coil packs, aluminum drive shaft, light weight fly wheel, Berks TP's, ISR y pipe, Tannabe exhaust, etc. - I am sure I am forgetting something.....

That is pretty respectable for an old DE though. To change cams and do head work really isn't worth the $$$ per whp. I made a 3" and a 3.5" intake and tuned it with uprev and noticed a big difference. Uprev just released a new update that allows the MAF to be tuned real time that makes it soooo much easier now.

Fully agree for a DE - Z1 did the tune on it, not complaining at all - but I saw ADMIN and LIMP MODE guys squeeze an even 286 out of a DE, pretty sure he was E85 though. and the Furookie 3.5" and retune for NOS are what I am saving for currently. and +1 on the new Uprev update!
