Turboing v35

Turboing v35
Im torn between buying a 6mt v35 or saving up a bit more and buying an r33 or r34. I plan to build the car, but im sceptical about turboing a v35
Is it worth it? id most likely end up spending more on turboing the car than what i spent to buy the car. Do you think its better to buy a factory turbocharged car and upgrade from there? without going through the mess of turboing a v35?
from what ive seen on youtube, it seems like a very costly headache to turbo them, anyone else done it and have feedback on how it turned out? cheers.

U can probably turbo it for about 3K on a cheap kit. Good stuff youll be lookin at around 5K. And thats if youre doing all the work yourself.
But these stock engines cant be pushed more than 400-450 hp. Thats when u start bending rods.
If u really love the car and need to have it then its worth it. But if youre just after power, there are other cars which will be easier and cheaper to add power to.

I looked into this years ago and determined this car is just a poor platform if you want to dabble in FI. If you're funded, well equipped, and a competent mechanic, you can do cool stuff with the g35...but if you're looking for a fun project to work on in your spare time, stay away from FI with this car.

You must have a big budget if you are planning on picking up a R33 or R34. If you want the best G35 6spd option and turbo I would go with a 07-08 HR car. Better motor and tranny and 600hp capable. Seen several 6spd 07-08's with high mileage go for 4-5k.
If I had 10k or so and wanted to build another car ground up I would buy a 03-06 G35 coupe and buy a Q60 VR30 TT AWD donor to swap in. It would be a real fun car, too bad they didn't make the 6 speed MT an option. I do like the newer 7AT if it has the right stuff done to it though. Can also ecutek flash the VR30 for over 400hp.
