5/16 MD intake spacer CEL

I did a install with a 5/16th MD spacer today did all the reset procedures and did them multiple times and an still getting the high idle CEL. Does anyone have any extra input. I even took the neg terminal off and pumped the brakes to have it come back on 5 mins later... I had 0 CELs before to be clear. 2003 g35 coupe with 1320 down to megan racing y pipe. Thanks for any tips in advanced!!

Probably pinched the oil fill neck between the plenums.

I got mine stuck the second time i tore it down and was so pissed bc i made it a note to not do that the first time. If this is the case do not only undo one bolt and pull it out. Undo all and torque back down in order, its a good lesson

other than that scanning the code would be the next step

So we didnt pinch the oil fill neck, but I got the car warm it had a hanging idle at about 1200 then would drop to 1000, so I did all of the procedures again and it was idling perfect. But it only idles perfect directly after the idle reset. As soon as I turn it off and turn it back on it reverts to the 1000 idle. The plenum was cleaned top and bottom before we installed it.

High probability.

Next time use electronic contact cleaner instead.

Did you unplug the throttle body harness by chance? Or did you just unbolt throttle body and leave it connected and swing it out of the way. If you unplugged the harness you need to perform the throttle closed position relearn in the FSM section EC under basic service procedures.

i swung it out of the way, ive done all 3 procedures about 50 times, to include listening to the TB to make sure its on, i downloaded NDS2 and tried the idle relearn feature bout it fails every time. I might just try to huff it and hope if fixes itself out... I dont drive my g35 a ton but this annoys me i cant figure it out
