Anyone using an Apexi cone filter??
Just curious if anyone is using an Apexi cone filter Like the one Berk Technologies sells: (http://www.berktechnology.com/images...es/liquid2.jpg)
Well, if it's worth anything to compare to the 300zx unit (which can't be that different since both engines have MAFs), I liked it better than the HKS Powerflow I had on it before mainly due to lower maintenance requirements. The HKS required cleaning or replacement every 10K miles or so, while the Apex'i was good for much longer and there was no element to remove or re-oil. As for differences in power, I couldn't detect any on the 'butt-dyno' and I never dyno'ed the car with the HKS unit. It came with a MAF adapter that was easier to deal with than the HKS one. Overall, my impressions were that it is a good unit with solid filtration. I remember a study a while back that looked at the dyno numbers and filtration of a few filters (HKS, Blitz, Apex'i, etc.) and the Apex'i came out on top.
