I have these aftermarket units installed on the 2005 -G35 Coupe and I have no high beams or Flash to Pass.
Before Install my High beams worked as expected.
I feel like they worked as the installed when I tested the new headlights for proper operation.
In one of my last test I had the headlights on Auto with the high beams lit and they shut off.
When I turned the car on I no longer operating high beams.
The Bulbs where brand new less than 10 mins on them.
What is odd is that the "Fog Lights" work... they just wont Plus up to full on high beam.
When I pull back the flash to pass wand the blue indicator on the dash comes on and the fog lights go out.
But the high beams wont ignite. Did both bulbs die at the same time?
Stock Yellow Wire Lead Question
Lastly.. on the spec-d install... there was a yellow wire lead that on the stock headlights connected to a nipple like clip on the bulb holder ring.
The Spec-D units did not have this clip so I life that yellow wire unconnected.
I am wonder if other people with this lights left this wire unconnected.
Here's the wiring schematic straight from the FSM for my 2006, I think it's the same for 2005. One side the red/yellow stripe is high beams, red/black stripe is low beams. Other headlight the brown is high beams, red is low beams. Black and black/white stripe is ground on both headlights, the ground connects inside the engine bay right on the front of the wheel well / chassis.
