06 coupe 6mt No acceleration in gear

My coupe's been sitting since march or so due to not having to commute anymore, recently took it out to get it serviced, filled up the gas and everything was fine. I was driving home and I lost acceleration in gear, in neutral the car revved fine. I pulled over thinking it would sort itself out and the electronics started getting funky so I turned it off and it wouldn't start back up. Someone came to jump it for me 15 minutes later and it fired right up like nothing was wrong and its been driving fine on short trips. Any ideas what causes this to happen?

Can you explain what you mean by lost acceleration in gear or better describe what the car was doing? Also, did this trigger any codes?

No codes at all, no lights on the dash besides tpms. The car was driving perfectly fine, did a quick pull getting onto the highway and from there I was coasting in 6th gear at 65-70mph for about 20 minutes, exit was coming up so I down shifted and noticed the car wasn't accelerating, when I moved to neutral it would rev perfectly fine. I didn't try to redline it in neutral but it would go to 3500-4000 like normal. I pulled over and turned the car off, waited a little bit and tried to crank, nothing happened, sounded like a failed starter, after it was jump started it was fine.

Thanks for the additional info. I can't think of what the issue may be here but my first thought is something battery related like telcoman mentioned. Subbing to see what other members thoughts are.
