Oil Cooler assembly question

Hi Team,

I was wondering if an Oil Cooler assembly from a g35x 2007 (VQ35HR) will fit on a 2006 g35x (VQ35DE)?

Thanks for the help!

Do you mean an aftermarket oil cooler or the OEM sandwich plate?
If you mean the OEM one, it may fit, but I think the coolant lines are re-routed on the HR vs the DE.

Hi,

OEM from an HR would be going into the DE. That's what i thought too, HR oil cooler might not fit in the DE engine..

Pretty sure the HR OEM one is just a coolant-to-oil cooler just like the DE one. Not exactly an upgrade.

Hello!

I'm not looking for a replacement. Mine is slowly leaking.. all the g35 that are for salvage in my area are HR.

Ohh then you just need to replace the o-ring not the entire cooler. It's an off the shelf item at nearly every parts store or you can get the OEM Nissan one, part number 21304-JA11A for about $5.
