Passenger Side Low-Beam is Malfunctioning

Hey guys. My passenger side low-beam headlight is malfunction in a weird way. If I go over bumps it will flicker (or sometimes turn off), if I turn hard left (like turning left at an intersection) the light will turn off, everytime. If I flip the switch off then back on the passenger light will illuminate again and experience the same symptoms. All foglight/high-beams work fine... and the drivers side low beam works fine as well. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Filament in the bulb is broken and makes contact and works fine and when sudden movement causes the two pieces separate, it flickers or goes out completely and then as they touch. light returns to normal. Replace the bulb.

Sounds logical. I have some extra bulbs, I'll try them out tomorrow. Thanks.

It's not a filament, it's a gas filled tube.

Swap lamps from driver to passenger side and see if the problem still persists on that side or if it follows the lamp. Don't touch the glass with your fingers or the oil from your skin will ruin the lamp, use toilet paper to hold it.

I'm betting it's a loose/broken wire making intermittent contact.

True if he has HID lighting and even then there is a thin metallic strip above and below the gas filled chamber that make the connection outside the glass envelope. A thin conductor also extends from the top of the glass envelope, along its side and into the base. The break could be anywhere along the path of conductors.

The connectors have a silicone seal around them at the back of the connector to keep moisture out. It can get unseated and make it hard to push the connector on properly. Check that too.

I had a similar issue where the low-beams would turn on normally then eventually flicker and turn off. At first it was just one bulb, and turning the lights off and on again would work, but eventually it was both lights and they would flicker/die immediately.

It ended up being the cheap bulbs I had purchased off Amazon - I swapped them out for Morimoto bulbs and the issue disappeared.

Sorry for the delay. I replaced the bulb just now and took the car for a good 20 minute drive through neighborhoods with lots of turns. Everything is working properly now. I looked at the ballast harness and the malfunctioning bulb for on each side and all of them looked fine. The bulb that was causing the problems didn't look damaged either.

Edit: MooseLucifer... you're right. I remember buying those bulbs off amazon and they were cheap compared to the ones I just installed.
