Hello
I recently purchased a 2005 G35 Coupe 6MT with 184K miles. I want to change the grille to something different but noticed that the bolts to which the current grille attaches to are themselves missing. Do you happen to know what size and rating of the nuts and bolts that I can use there to add a new grille ? Even if I do not end up changing the grille, I would like to bolt the existing grille on correctly.
It's not bolts that attach the grill, the top has four japanese body clips that look like this, just pop up the center section then lift the entire clip out.
Then on the left and right side on the front of the grill is a different kind of clip, look at the square part with the groove for a flat blade screwdriver, when you look into the grill it's going to look like a "diamond inside a square", use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the clip so it's a "square inside a square" and then pull the grill forward through the clip.
Lastly at the bottom are a couple of retainers you lift with your finger from the inside of the grill once you have the other clips removed.
