Bad ignition switch start no turn off.

Came to the conclusion that I fried my ignition switch. I found a ignition switch assembly with key from an 04 g35.. will I be able to use it on my 03 g coupe 6mt ? I have everything apart and know how to take my old one out is it just a simple replace assembly and call up a locksmith to program my old key to the used assembly I installed or do I have to get blanks and have him cut/program the key and replace the ignition switch fuse because of the short in the assembly it would keep popping the fuse.

The problem is the door locks won't match the ignition locks.

Programming can be handled by a locksmith or you can pry out the RFID chip from the key and physically swap the chip to a new key.

I dug the chip out of my key and put it in a new one when I landed on my keys a year ago and broke it in half. If you take a little time you can get it out without snapping the plastic like I did.

im probably just gonna keep both keys for the manual locks one for ignition and one for if I ever need to unlock the doors by the key. You think I should be ok just dremeling the rivet and disconnecting the 3 connectors on the cylinder and retracing steps replacing a new one and I should be hood from there having the lock smith reprogram and cut a new key ?
