VDC off and Slip Light after replacing Steering Wheel
Hey yall I replaced my 04 g35 coupe steering wheel two days ago with a used oem steering wheel and airbag both wheel and airbag are in good condition and they work completely but if I leave traction control on when I initially drive the car from turning it on then when I get to a decent speed (30mph - 50mph) my brakes start to not really work and my car feels like its slipping and trying to catch traction even though its going straight. If I leave vdc off initially when turning on the car then it doesn't really do it it'll do it like once or twice then the slip light will come on then it doesn't do it again. I read the codes i have a c1143(Steering Angle Sensor circuit) and a c1145(YAW RATE Sensor). I've tried to reset the steering angle position sensor but every time I try it just says emergency stop(using an autel ts608) I'm kind of confused what to do, do i replace the sensor, the clockspring, or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it sounds like something was allowed to slip while installing or the new clockspring was not set properly on install.

Hey I recently changed my clock spring for my g35 and once I changed it everything worked horn and volume buttons. When I started driving my car started “braking” on its own and then the slip and vdc off lights came on! I’m not sure if I got the wrong part or I installed it wronged! Please help me fix this

You probably didn't make match marks on the clock spring, it also houses the steering angle sensor. Since the steering angle sensor is now likely in a different position the vehicle thinks it's sliding and is actuating the VDC system to straighten you out.
Unless you made match marks across the old steering angle sensor to compare to the new one you're going to need to schedule a 1 hour service with your local Nissan to have them recalibrate the new steering angle sensor.
That sensor needs to be installed EXACTLY the same way it came out, you can't even be off by 1 spline.

It's very possible if you installed your steering wheel incorrectly like i did(i.e the air bag wires were getting caught during rotations of the wheel) you could need a clock spring cause they are very fragile i don't know the exact amount for how much it should cost but it is possible to do it yourself

Also if you did not mark the clockspring when you replaced the steering wheel like another user on the thread said then that could also be your issue but figuring out where it was set at before is possible but difficult. Look through the forums cause im pretty sure someone made a thread talking about how to know if your clockspring is centered or not
