Lucas Oil Heavy Duty/High Mileage Stabalizer

After putting nearly 1000 miles on my new to me 2004 G35, it seems I’m consuming nearly 1 quart of oil every 200-250 miles. It’s in dire need of an oil change which I am planning on running an oil flush and using a high mileage 10W-40.

Has anyone used a full quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer each oil change and noticed a measurable decrease in oil consumption? I’m not necessarily concerned with the oil consumption, I expect it to an extent with a VQ, but I don’t want to be a menace with my neighbors with the constant oil smoke.

A little more background, I bought the car with an (what I presume to be) HKS replica single exit catless/resonator delete exhaust which I plan on adding a resonator back on and eventually a legit muffler and I have already added an oil catch can which has not decreased the amount of oil consumption.

Tl/dr, I’m not as concerned about the amount of oil I’m consuming, but for the sake of people around me, has anyone noticed a legit decrease in oil consumption using Lucas Oil Stabilizers?

Yeah, seems she hasn’t been taken care of by the previous owner. I planning on bringing it back to life a little at a time. I’m hoping I can at least least slow the oil consumption, otherwise I’m probably going to source a short block.

I'd get busy on the short block. The VQs are known to have had cheap rings. If you are eating that much oil, there's no oil additive that is going to make a difference. Oil catch can "is a drop in the bucket" and is not addressing the core issue of oil consumption in these engines.

There's nothing you're going to do to fix that kind of oil consumption aside from a rebuild/replacement engine.

I imagine it is smoking pretty heavily out the tailpipe under throttle yeah?
