Neat trick to stop leaking power steering lines
Hello all,
I had a leak coming from a power steering line on my G35 I just bought. This is where the two hard lines screw into the steering rack. Well, first I tightened it a little, thinking it was loose. No, still leaking a little. Then I unscrewed it completely, thinking maybe it was damaged or in crooked. No, it looked fine, screwed it back and it still leaked.
So, I was reading, and I found a trick that worked great for me. You unscrew the line, and you put a trim or also known as a finishing washer on the end of it, and then put it back in and tighten it normally. This little bit of extra at the tip lets it crush down and it stops the leak.

They look like the above.
I read this elsewhere about someone who has done dozens of cars this way for decades and it almost always works.
Thought I would pass it along.
