Automatic gear indicator in shift assy
Automatic gear indicator in shift assy
Hey folks. Not sure where to even look for this piece or what its called. I took apart my center console to address some rattles but there is a collar type assembly that fits around the shifter that moves the orange gear indicator when changing gears. Well... I jacked that thing up and broke it. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Any nomenclature or leads on where to purchase this piece? Thanks for reading my post.

Download the factory service manual (FSM) from Nicoclub.com for your year and model (that's always helpful info to include in any post when you have questions).
The FSM will have exploded diagrams of every system and assembly of the car with associated part numbers. You can then cross reference them with the various online part sites.

The part isn't needed for function, but it makes sense you want to fix it. Unfortunately, I don't believe you can get it by itself, and the MSRP for a shifter assembly is somewhere north of $500.00...I'd get to checking junkyards.
