Help??! How to get coolant hose off the connection?
As mentioned 2 weeks ago I cut the coolant hose trying to replace the bleeder valve (heating hose I think is the correct term since this is the hose that goes from the bleeder into the firewall) I literally have the hose cut open in half at the firewall, clamp is off the hose and it will not come off the connection that is in the firewall. I can put my finger in and feel the hose around the connection at the firewall but that hose will not come off! I am trying to put the new replacement hose onto the connection at the firewall but can not get the broken one off the connection at the firewall. Its like its cemented on or something. Is there a spray I can spray on that will soften the hose or something. Something so I can manipulate it off. I tried fitting a knife back to their to slice the hose around the connection to peel it off but cant seem to get a good angle to cut into it. Its cramped. Any tricks? Any special tools? lol.

Just grab the hose with a pair of channel lock pliers and start gently twisting, don't clamp down enough that it damages the heater core stub but you'll start to twist the rubber hose back and forth and eventually all that corroded crap will break free.
Since you already put a slice in it you could grab the edge with some long reach needle nose pliers and start twisting that way as well.
Coolant hoses are always glued into place basically and can be a pain to remove.
