Any Way To Get Push-Button Start, or Remote Start?
Hello! I have a 2004 Manual Infiniti G35 Coupe, and I was wondering if it is possible to get a push-button start, and/or remote start, and have it happen reliability because I don't want my car to get stolen either, but I love the look of it, and the feel of it, because I want it to feel sporty, but also want it to feel somewhat new, and luxurious. but yeah.
Yes but you either need to have an Uprev tune to disable NATS, or take your transponder chip out of your key and tape it onto the receiver antenna on the ignition lock cylinder. Obviously this will make your vehicle easier to steal, there is absolutely no way around this one though.
You will also need to override the clutch switch with a relay on the aftermarket starter box. Normally the vehicle REQUIRES the clutch switch to be depressed in order to start the vehicle, same thing with the PNP switch on the transmission.
Then you just need to make sure every time you are not in the car you leave it in neutral. If you leave it in gear it WILL try to start the car even though it's in gear.
Putting remote start on a manual transmission just isn't a good idea in general though, you should seriously rethink this even though yes it is technically possible.
