'07 VQ35 belt/pulley/tensioner squeak

I've got this terrible noise that gets worse the more I rev the motor.
It squeaks and drives me nuts.
Any advice here. I recently had the belts off when I redid the cooling system/radiator.
Could this just be loose?
Video 1 - driving
Video 2 - idle
Thank you in advance

U sure thats the belt? Sounds like metal rubbing.

But if it is the belts then dont keep driving it like that. Just tighten it a bit and see if it goes away.

That's not a belt, that's a bearing.

Take off the belts, spin the idler and tensioner pulleys (main belt has one idler, one tensioner. AC belt has just a tensioner) by hand. They should be sort of stiff and completely silent, might make 2-3 rotations if you spin it as hard as you can. If they just free spin and have noise then that bearing is shot.

My guess is you probably overtightened the belt when you reinstalled it and it ate one of the bearings on the tensioner/idler. Strongly recommend a krikit gauge unless you've done a LOT of belts and know what 100-150 lbs of belt tension feels like.

I think spec on a used belts is like 150-175 lbs on the main belt, 75-100 lbs on the AC belt. Check the FSM section MA - Maintenance.

Yup..get a gauge..I fiddled with the belt tensioner several times until the squeaking went away. I replaced everything.. The 3/8 to 1/2 inch thumb deflection is bs. The tensioner setting can be quite persnickety.

This was before the motor swap.

I have described how to use the Krikit gauge when I did my belt and idler pulley replacements here in this blog post.
