Electrical problems
What’s going on guys I’m fair new to the forums and I was just wondering if any of you have or currently experiencing this. So basically I replace the battery and alternator and I’m still having electrical problems my brake light and battery light is still on and every time I jump my car the vdc , slip , abs , ras light cuts on and my whole dash just goes dim and start to flicker and this is also affecting my trans to because whenever I shift in reverse or accelerate it has no power and then it’s just goes away
Check both ends of both battery cables. Also check the fusible link, the cables land on it, then it lands on the battery post.
Also check the engine to chassis main bonding jumper, it's the heavier gauge wire on the right side of the engine mounted to the timing chain cover, it lands on the chassis directly below the coolant reservoir.
Disconnect everything, wire brush all mating surfaces until they're clean (yes this includes the starter stud, alternator stud, battery, both sides of the cable lugs, where the battery ground lands on the chassis, etc), apply a little electrical anti-oxidation to ALL MATING SURFACES, bolt everything back together.
