People without clear bras experiencing bad paint chipping?
After washing the car after a week in a half of ownership, i found one chip in the rear bumper and 2 on the hood, above where the clear bra would be. The primer is a dark color so it doesn't really stand out. Thought it was just crap that wouldn't come off during washing. I rather save the $700 to get the car touched up later on.
I don't have many noticeable rockchips at all. A little sand blasting on the bottom of the bumper but nothing major. It costs less to repaint my bumper 4 or 5 times in 5 years that it would to get clear bra installed.

I guess the upside with heavy traffic is that you never get to go freeway speeds. I also don't tailgate which probably helps. With these 2 factors, I have a hard time justifying paying 600 for a Clear Bra.

I have 17,000 miles on my car, I'd say I do pretty much a 50/50 split of city/highway driving and I don't have any rock chips. I think the key is to just not tailgate people when on the highway. I see tons of highway people always tailgating each other during busier hours (still going 65mph or so)...I think that is when all the rocks hit the front of your car.
After one month of ownership, I had a rock fly up from a car/truck in front of me and it put a bullet hole like crack in the right side of the windshield right below the windshield wiper. I had it filled with epoxy under pressure but I still know it's there.
From experience, the paint seems to be stronger on the flexible bumper cover than the aluminum hood. The hood chips real easily.
