(06 coupe) power seats / windows / locks randomly stop working
Ive had to fix many electrical issues on the G and this has been happening since I got the car, I find a lot of similar issues with the seats / windows but cant find anyone takling about the problem i have...
whenver someone moves my passenger seat more than a little bit, the seat itself all windows/sunroof + door locks stop working for the rest of the day (driver seat adjustments always work with no issue for some reason)
If it rains theres about a 50% chance the electronics will stop working (again never the drivers seat)
Im guessing its a wiring issue, last owner messed with the wiring and ive been splicing cords left and right since i got the car..
Could someone point me in the right direction to where the short might be or give any other advice?
preciate it,

If you lose function when it rains you are probably getting water into the IPDM fuse box, possibly a clogged sunroof drain getting water on the BCM. Check your carpet on the firewall and footwells of the two front seats to see if it's wet.
As for the seat wiring issue, try just wiggling the wires around by hand while someone else continuously rolls windows up/down. See if you can isolate to a specific harness or wire.
Make sure to solder any wires you repair, don't just use crimp butt splices. If you aren't comfortable soldering you can buy "solder shrink" connectors that have solder inside them that will melt when you shrink the tube with a heat gun.
